Smoothing services

I'm wondering whether it's worth it to do a smoothing course?

Be it chemical straightening, or a 6 week blow dry thing?

I haven't really looked into it. So don't actually know what's about.

But my friend saw a picture of a keratin blow dry (?) on another salon page locally and asked me to do that to her hair?
