Taking 3 hours to do eyelash extensions

hi everyone, I've just started doing semi permanent eyelash extensions I know the treatment time they say should be 2 hours (I know people that can do a full set in an hour) but I'm currently taking over 3 hours now I know this is probably standard as I've only just started but I'm just wondering do I have to apply and extension to every single lash? I only use 0.15 so you think maybe I should invest in thicker? I used 0.25 with my first couple of ladies but they told me they felt as though...

Is Bio Sculpture still popular and can you make a mobile living from it?

Hi All, I'm a newbie. And would like some advice please from some pros please. I want to ask if bio sculpture is still popular and if you can make a mobile living from this alone. I've been advised to train in l&p as this will always be popular and advised eventually will probably need to do it. I'm torn as I don't want to spend 700+ on a course to then need to retrain in something else if I'm not able to make a living off bio sculpture alone.
I really love the bio sculpture product and...

Awful awful situation for me!
I have a great name in my area and have been doing extensions for 5 years now!
Never heard from this lady until after she had gone elsewhere for a removal then messaged to say her hair was ruined and was seeking legal advice.
I never got the opportunity to see her let alone rectify anything!
I have received a letter from a no win no fee company representing her, she has half the details incorrect including the brand of hair and dates!
I am waiting to hear...

Marvelbrow Course/Tints?

Hi Lovelies,

Has anyone taken the Marvelbrow course and would you recommend it? I'm particularly interested in it, as I was recommended to use the Marvelbrow tints as they're peroxide-free and clients don't continuously need patch testing.

If anyone has any feedback on the course and/or tints I'd love to hear them!

Disappointed with my 1st toning attempt

I have been out the game for a very long time and I am just starting to dip my toe again . Thought I'd have a little practice on myself , just toning . Mixed L'Oréal dialight 3/4 9.01 , 1/4 clear & 75ml of 6% dia activator applied to towel dried hair and left 10 mins .

I've had a slight , and I mean slight nutralising result but it still has a hue , not the normal silvery glow it should have . :(

So ......... should I leave out the clear ? Go for 9.11 to hit it with more ash or a 9.12...

Hi Guys,

The first two images above are of the new clients current colour status.

She has requested to achieve as close to possible to the look in the 3rd image above.

Clients hair current colour has been bleached using a full head form but there are now visible roots, hair condition is dry, natural regrowth is about the shade of a 6.

Looking for recommendations to achieve this tone look using...

Just a question to any therapists that do facials, recently ive been getting worried about not wearing gloves during a facial, i do a lot of extractions during them and of course a small amount of blood may surface from doing this, its not common practice for any of the girls to wear gloves wear i work and we have a lot of loyal returning customers so i dont want offend any one from wearing gloves when the other girls dont , but im worried about cross contamination and the fact that i...

Aftercare pack for hair extensions

Hey lovely people!

I am thinking about an aftercare kit which shall be given out after initial fitting.

I want to include a hair brush, argon oil and shampoo, conditioner and a treatment and wondered.....

Shall I give this out as included in the price of a fitting or so I charge as an extra?!! Xxxx

Have any of my lovely fellow geeks used iZ gel? I was wondering what the differences were with the pot of gel & the bottle apart from the obvious in viscosity. Any pros & cons? I think I read that it's compatible with most other companies colour gels....would love to hear your thoughts & experiences.

Chrome nails chipping?

Why are my chrome nails chipping on the ends I have tried using non tack top coat and used x2 layers of I.b.d top coat and is still wearing off ends of nails it's really frustrating as they look so nice anything else anyone reccomends

Hi geeks,

I really want to train in fries but HD are £1100 and I just don't have that kind of money :( I've also heard you need to spend £50 a month!

Has anyone got any pictures of brows they can share with me that have been done using another brands technique?

I just really love the HD finish, I get them done myself but I just can't justify £1100 then the travel costs & accommodation

I have a client who has tried multiple hair dresses to cover her 20% gray level 6 ash brown hair. No matter what it keeps pulling red, she said she has even tried putting just put straight 6ash on her hair with 15 developer and it was ash for a day but then went red. The professional colors she has tried: Kenra (straight 6ash with 20 developer, pulled red), Framesi (6ash with 15 developer, pulled red) and Loreal Inoa (5nn + 6ash +7ash + 20 developer. Hi . It's my first time using Wella freelights on my lady. Very fine hair natural virgin hair level 7 She'd like to go to natural level 9-10 natural sun kissed look. I have a client with very over processed hair, bleached it for years but it's fed up with roots. I wanted to do some reverse balayage on her hair but a bit unsure what colours to use as her hair throws off unwanted tones... I use wella. Thankyou

Hi guys, can anyone explain the colour touch peroxides and when they're best used,for toning foils, semi tint,pre pig etc..Ive used the pastel which I believe is a 2.9% ?

Ahhhhh just had a mare of an appointment... I had a mother and daughter combo for gel polish and they were fine but the husband/dad sat on the couch and just bombarded (and I mean bombarded me!!) with 1001 questions, why are my prices what they are, where did I train, why nails as a profession etc etc... I got so flustered that I made two errors on the mum (used Gellux products) I forgot the base coat on one hand (realised for the second!) then on the daughter (used Shellac products) I...

Mine name is hazel eyes.... Because I have them! Not very original to be honest and thinking about it they aren't even hazel really lol!

Tbh I wish i picked something more industry related and fancy smancy but hey I joined over a year ago sort of by mistake and didn't comment till last mth!

Micro ring wefts

Dear geeks,
Please can you give me your opinion on this micro ring weft that I got fitted last Thursday. I've been in constand pain since then. I donmt think they are fitted well, they feel very tight and some of the hair in ribgs have gotten fitted into rings above making them twist upwards.
The girl who fitted them offered to loosen them for me tomorrow morning but I'm not sure if that would be enough.
